One thing that's helped me is to just stay calm and not let these scammers get me rattled. They rely on people feeling overwhelmed or panicked, but if you can stay calm and collected, you'll be better equipped to spot the scam and protect yourself.

I've received a few scam calls over the years and have learned a few things along the way. One of the biggest things I've noticed is that these scammers tend to prey on people who are vulnerable or who don't know any better. That's why it's so important to stay informed and to never give out your personal information over the phone.

Don't answer calls from unknown or suspicious numbers: If you don't recognize the number, let it go to voicemail. If it's an important call, the caller will leave a message.
