Number is reported as Debt collectorThis is a debt collector scam saying that I took out a Payday loan in 2017 for $500. A woman, Tracy, who said she was the floor manager said that I can pay back this loan to a company called Personal Installment Loans the $500.00 today or go to court to dispute it. If I didn't pay the $500.00 before she hung up then I'll be summoned to go to court, and if I lose then I would have to pay $1,998.00 which includes the interest over the years. She also stated that it would be put on my credit report for 5-7 years. (1) I've never taken out a payday loan in my life! (2) What loan company do you know that would wait almost 5 YEARS to start to collect on their loan! (3) They said they have 3 banks listed for me, one was mine, but I did not confirm which bank was mine. So why do they have 2 other banks listed for me? (4) I asked what bank the check was deposited into, and they couldn't tell me. (5) I went back to my 2017 electronic statements, and I have no such deposit in my account. These and others have called me over the years trying to pull the same scam and I've never received a court summons. |

Number is reported as Debt collectorI have received several recorded messages from this number and they say to type in ""1"" if this is me. I have spoken to them and they are a junk debt collector. They are trying to collect on a debt i already paid off. I asked them which company it was and they said there were several names of the company which was a vague answer. So I called back again and spoke to a lady to get their company address and information. I was told i had to talk to my account manager and was put on hold for 10 minutes and got disconnected. I can't get answers to what I owe and I need to pay $600 right now or it hits my credit in 24-48 hours. I'm calling this a scam |

Number is reported as UnknownI would receive this phone number 8886836051 on my landline at home for the past month. They are calling mostly during the day time. The caller ID does not list who is calling other than the phone number. The caller would always hang up and not leave a voice message. I do not know how this person got my unlisted phone number. Maybe it is a telemarketer, even though my unlisted phone number is on the Do Not Call list. |
