Called and said they were calling on behalf of the state of RI and National Grid. Told me I was eligible for some sort of electric utility reduction. I asked why they were doing this and she told me it was because last year, in April, electric customers complained about the electric rates. (initiate face palm) I asked why the State didn't just lower the rates instead of hiring a company to call me and offer me a lower rate. She abruptly ended the call soon after. I suspect it was from a Non-regulated Power Producer/competitive supplier. Problem with these independent suppliers is that their rates are prone to quickly climb higher than your existing electric company rates. Might be legit but still scammy to say they are calling on behalf of the state and National Grid.
They called me from the number 2016859915 No message left. Not calling them back. Waste of my time. I do not know who this is nor do I answer calls from people I don't know. If you don't leave a message I won't call you, and more than likely if I don't know you I won't call you back.
