I had the same ""recorded"" messages several times, beginning last year, varies inbetween calls, i.e. days, weeks, months, but always same; latest ones were yesterday (9/8/2020). It can be very static or broken up. Recording always has NO introduction. They always DO NOT give name and organization. It always mentions ""before we begin legal proceedings."" I decided to respond by text. I told them their messages conveniently begin in the middle; never have introduction, who they, or what they are calling about.....later that day (only a few hours), I received another call from with same recorded message....no intro with who it is, but this they added info on my SSN. Ok, so first of all my TEXT was responded to, by another phone message, and some info was added, but still never WHO it is. Plus, how do they know if they have the right person, right phone #, right anything (can also be ploy to actually GET your info)? If legit, would give ALL pertinent info, send correspondence regarding same, etc. You still have to be vigilent though, as scammers ARE CLEVER!
Never a good sign when someone calls but leaves no message; sorry, but the only way to reach me when I don't recognize number is to leave a voice message. They called me today early morning 9/8/2020
