Definitely a scam. Took me for a month's income! Offering a rebate on tech support then claimed they sent too much by mistake and if I didn't want him fired I'd get Walmart gift cards and call them back with the codes. Some of the calls claimed their system crashed and therefore they are ""required by US government"" to give rebates. Constant harassing calls for days.
Do not do anything other than hang up if you receive a call from this number. I answered this call and the message said we have determined that someone is fraudulently attempting to gain access to your banking accounts. Press 9 now to speak to an agent. Hung up and called my bank. they checked my accounts and found they were all secure and no one had gained info on either of our accounts.
11 calls in a month even though number is blocked. This is sick. What a waste of everyone's time.
Between 8/18 and 8/28 I have received 25 calls from this number. Although I have this number blocked, it somehow goes thru to voicemail. They say they are calling from the tech company that helps me with my computer issues, but they are not from that company. The message left is about someone using my social security number. This is a SCAM,
It's a bogus call that leaves a voicemail. I hang up as soon as I hear, ""Thank you for listening to this message,"" if I even get that far into the message. Scammers!
