Even though it has my area code it comes across as Out of Area (red flag 1), I called back and a person with a deep Indian Accent answered the phone with "Hi, this is Alex, with Main Street Financial" (red flag 2). I told them that I was not interested and to please lose my number. I do not trust Out of Area calls that have my area code, it does not give me the warm fuzzies, and my gut instincts tell me it is a scammer bouncing off a local number to scam me. For all I know this person could have been sitting in a call center in India, trying to scam money out of people in the U.S.A.?
