Received a text from 281-343-3435 stating it was from AthenaHealth. It said the balance for my recent appointment with TX-Memorial Her... is ready to view and pay. It gave a highlighted area for me to click on. I did not do that as I was unfamiliar with the number, and I do not have an outstanding bill. I have never heard of Athena Health and cannot find anywhere that it is connected to Memorial Hermann. Besides, Memorial Hermann has their own payment portal. I believe that this is a scam.
281-343-3435 sent a text after calling Dr at Village Medical (formally Beeler Mansky). Receptionist asked what my number is, however, it is in my files and on the call answering software. The next thing I get is the following text. Text: "Thanks! You'll now receive Patient Alerts from Village Medical. Msg&data rates may apply. Txt HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out." However I did not sign up for it.
I received a text message this my morning from tel:1-281-343-3435-I never respond to any number that I DO NOT KNOW. Block this number. Better safe than sorry
I picked up but no one responded so I am assuming that it is some form of auto-connect on voice system, I had music in background which may have confused it. No idea yet if it is nuisance sales type call or criminal spam, will report if it calls again.
