Called saying a ""civil complaint"" was being filed on someome I know. They didnt identify themselves and refused to provide any information about the complaint at which point i disconnected the call.

They called, said they had a message for...and named my 35-yr-old son. I asked ""who's that?"" and they hung up. That angered me so I called back, fully expecting the call to not go thru. They answered all my questions as to who they were and what they were doing, gave me the name of their company which I did not quite catch but they are a locating service, supposedly. My son, supposedly listed mine and my husband's name as a contact number, which, of course, is usually done for loans. They told me that a ""complaint"" was about to be filed. Later, my husband told me that they called him and said they had ""several"" complaints about our son. They had told me that they just wanted to leave their phone number for me to give to my son. I refused (after all, I already had their number if I chose to give it to him.) Anyway, the last time my son would have given our name as a contact number would have been for his student loan like 20 years ago and a student loan is the only type of loan that would collect after that. Due to the executive order signed by our President 2 days ago, student loan holders are not supposed to be making efforts to collect.
