My guess is it’s an automated system that dials thousands of numbers in sequence all the time. Then the system sees who will actually pick up the phone, notes the duration of the call and may even record then analyze the response for sale as working numbers to telemarketing organizations. My phone will not ring for numbers that are not in my contact list. You do have to check voicemail to make sure it’s not a valid phone call from your doctor etc. my iPhone transcribes it for me so I can do a quick read of the message. New software is out that will answer silently and will respond and waste there time.
Someone called me from the number 3155620519 . After the phone quits ringing and goes to Voice Mail they hung up and didnt leave any voice message. I suggest to not answer the phone when the caller phones you. The caller may want to know what time/day you pick up the phone to know when you are home, so they would know when to call you again.
