I received a call from this number stating she was with Social Security and needed my social security to identify me and do a review for my son's SSI. I told her we just did a review less than a year ago. She said they can do them whenever they want and I was sent a notice about 2 weeks ago. I told her I did not receive any notice from SSA and asked what address it was mailed to, but without me agreeing to give her my social security number, she would not confirm. I expressed my concern about giving my identification over the phone from an unknown number not tied to SSA. She began to be rude and told me to calm down and she wasn't going to argue with me. I laughed because I was not upset and stated so and that I was only being cautious. SSA has an automated message stating there is a scam going around and not to give your information over the phone. I told her I would call the local office to confirm and schedule a call back for the review, if there is in fact a review.
The number 3614545855 phoned me 2 times this morning. When I answered the phone, they hung up. I tried to call back and find out what they wanted but the number wasn't recognised. They didn't leave any phone message. Maybe it's a telemarketer
