Come on everyone, do you really think anything valid regarding your government issued SSN would make contact in such a wretched fashion? And there IS a way to verify. Call Social Security, but why bother when this is clearly a phishing scam.
I also received a (partial) voice mail from this number, referencing potential fraudulent activity with my SSN to call back ASAP -- how can we clarify whether this is a scam or a true concern to follow up with?
This number left a voice message talking about fraudulent activity on my SSN and having legal action taken. Said that it was urgent to return the call. I'm going to say this must be spam/fraud.
