412-465-1298 – Scam suspicion user reviews

I received a call this morning from this number. I didn’t pick up when they called and they left no message. I called back, and a woman answered the phone saying she was from the social security office and asked for my name to look up the reason why I was called. I said I wasn’t comfortable giving personal information over the phone and she said that I could instead visit my local ss office. Seems like a scam, but not sure.

I would receive this phone number 4124651298 on my landline at home for the past month. They are calling mostly during the day time. The caller ID does not list who is calling other than the phone number. The caller would always hang up and not leave a voice message. I do not know how this person got my unlisted phone number. Maybe it is a telemarketer, even though my unlisted phone number is on the Do Not Call list.
