The caller ID for this number came up as City of Lynchburg. Once you say hello, you hear a click as a recorded message is played about a missing person, followed by some stats and instructions to dial 911 or another number if the person is seen. Then the recording asks you to press 1 to confirm receipt of the message. The first time I hung up without pressing 1 and I received a second call minutes later. This time I pressed 1. I fear this may be a number hunting scheme.
Someone called me from the number 4344775990 . After the phone quits ringing and goes to Voice Mail they hung up and didnt leave any voice message. I suggest to not answer the phone when the caller phones you. The caller may want to know what time/day you pick up the phone to know when you are home, so they would know when to call you again.
