Call came on cell phone. Computer generated voice. Didn't say Social Security Number, but rather said our social number had suspicious activity associated with it. Block it, dump it, whatever.
I also received this scam. The other person says, They left a voicemail which was a computer voice recorded message that stated, and I quote: ""On your Social Security number we have gotten in order to suspend your social at very right moment because we have found many suspicious activities on your social number so before we go ahead and suspend it kindly call us back on our number which is 435-344-4481 I repeat 435-344-4481."" I got the exact same message. Do not answer.
I received a phone call from this number this morning, November 10, 2020. They left a voice mail saying there had been suspicious claims on my social security number. Due to these claims they were going to suspend my SS number and I needed to call them back. I called and when they answered they called themselves the social security claims. They asked me my name and then readily pulled up my “ file”. I was told there were claims against my SS number in Texas and Mexico. I was asked if I knew about these claims and I said no. I was then asked to verify my zip code and at that point, I told them I would call my SS office in my home town. They said, “Uh, okay.” and then hung up
