Received the same letter.
Received a fax at my work proposing the scam in all of the previous reports.
I received a fax from him stating that a family member had passed with the last name - first thing I did was look up the real lawyer before using any of the information he gave me - which then was not what was on the piece of paper. 120% a scam do not fall for this. LOOKED VERY REAL.

This person pretends to be a lawyer from a Canadian law firm informing you of a dead family member leaving you millions of dollars. The scammer pretends to be a lawyer from Canada alleging that he can help you claim a multi-million dollar inheritance from someone who died 9 years ago and has the same last name as you. He's impersonating a real attorney, but I contacted the real lawyer in Canada and he confirmed that this is a scam. The email address he provides is not the same as the email address of the real attorney. He provides this phone number as his cell. He will ask for personal info, bank info, and your signature on some fake documents, and with that info he will ultimately try to steal your identity and take any money in your bank accounts.
Fake attorney asking for your bank account info because someone with your same last name died 9 years ago and had no will. He claims with your bank account he can transfer funds (minus his cut) to you. This jack wad will instead clean out any account that your provide him the information on.
