User reviews for 515-206-8746
This one is really a mixed bag because it's I've received countless calls from this number for some time now; I'll answer every now & again, otherwise I usually see it in my log files for my phone blocker. The most recent one was today; it made it through...(?) It was the Cindy Axne campaign; HOWEVER, political stuff in Iowa...that's not too out of the ordinary, especially considering some of the bizarre calls I've rec'd from that number. It's a telecoms company that sells landlines. I believe it's Level 3 Communications ""from"" Fort Dodge, IA. I don't know whom their customers are, but I recall answering several months ago to someone claiming & saying he was from Iowa City; he was a University student that specifically was calling me to inform me of some club meeting I might be interested in joining. And, not a joke, he claimed it was for students to learn about confucianism in society today. Hey, that's cool! Racism against Asians today has reached disgusting levels. Good for him on setting the record straight, I say! ...The problem — I attended IA State, graduated in 2012 ...from Graduate School; I'm not a student at U of Iowa...? Still, that's ok...I didn't make an issue of it; not that big of a deal. I told him that's a really long drive for me so I'd have to decline...I live in Des Moines...(?). Still, & again not a joke, he said he would be in Des Moines before this club meeting & that he could swing by, & he'd arrive me home too. I told him that's extremely generous, but I would be uncomfortable giving out my address & that it would be awkward leaving with a stranger for ~half a day. ...Now, & still not a joke, this person spoke with an accent; & that's fine — learning another language is difficult; he had learned more English than I have for any other language. I recognize everything could have been on the up & up; that it wasn't a prank, that it was true & he was sincere. But given all that was said already, the unsolicited nature of the call, & when I commented that he was effectively a stranger & that was reason enough not to accept his offer to drive me an hour and a half away, his rebuttal, that he wasn't a stranger...that he was born & raised in Iowa...(?) That may well be; but, that's still the point I ended the phone call. I wasn't going to Iowa City, I am a tolerant individual, but that much bizarre in one call...I don't know. The line of bs had already been tripped several times. He wouldn't let the phone call come to an end. I believe extraordinary things exist in this world; all that was said could have been one extraordinarily true claim; but, it was still unsolicited, still bizarre off the charts, & I can spot bs just as well as the next person. That he was born & raised in Iowa, yet had a heavy accent; I had to draw the line somewhere. .....Anyhow; ...bizarre stuff. I don't recommend answering...(?)

Never a good sign when someone calls but leaves no message; sorry, but the only way to reach me when I don't recognize number is to leave a voice message. They called me today early morning 11/14/2019
