Got an automated call claiming to be from Amazon saying a purchase for $299.00 had been made today on a Visa card. It went on to say if I recognized it to just hang up, but if I didn't to please call 530-358-0649. No activity is showing on either my Visa or my Amazon account. Notifying Amazon.
Hangup call; caller ID said ""Potential Spam"", though -- so I'm not surprised to see that there are lots of reports (this is the 3rd website I've been to so far, and all the posts say the same thing. It's NOT Amazon calling (Amazon is aware of these calls already -- I just got off their chat line about an hour ago about a DIFFERENT number calling that was a similar robocall.
Left a message saying I had placed an Amazon.com order for $299.00. I checked Amazon for past orders and nothing seen there. Obviously a scam!
When an unknown number like the one 5303580649 is calling I never answer. I don't like telemarketers. If it was something important they would leave a voice message. But they didn't. I think it is another telephone ad.
