Another Medicare scam call from India! Had 4 calls today from this same number! They are saying that they need to update your Medicare numbers and they want the numbers that you have on the card you have! Heck, if it was the real Medicare they would already know your numbers! Just listen to the way they talk, and ya know they are not from the good ol USA.. Scam calls from India Be careful out there folks. Rix
Received a call from an accented female asking for my wife. Upon informing her she was not at home, she begin to question me concerning a new medicare card they had mailed to my wife. I informed her she not received a new one. She then begin to question me concerning my medicare card. She stated both my wife and I should had already received our new medicare cards in the mail last week. She then begin to state medicare no longer used the social security numbers on the medicare cards which we both had. I informed her I had the new card. She then requested I look at my card and if it had a red line across the bottom it had to be replaced. She stated if it did have the red line it was just a temporary card and they needed my updated information in order to send my permanent card. When I refused to give her my medicare card number she became very demanding stating since I would not corporate with her she was suspending my card and benefits for 30 days until I called back to give her the information she requested. RED ALERTS. She gave me a middle initial, asked me for my social security number and my medicare card number, last but not least, i know for a documented fact that medicare do not call you first. You must call them first and they will call you back only with your request and permission. I retired from the Federal Government and know they will not call you for any information. I also know that you never say YES to anyone on the phone unless it is some you know. Being trained and working in Information Technology I know that you can place that any work recorded anyplace you desire. NEVER SAY YES TO ANY TELEPHONE CONVERSATION, UNLESS YOU PERSONALLY KNOW WHO YOU ARE SPEAKING WITH. Recorded vocal conversation wording can be moved around.
