605-865-1194 – Scam suspicion user reviews

I received a call from 605-865-1194 and when I picked up it was a prerecorded message from Global? stating they were going to automatically charge my account in the amount of $359 to renew my service and if I didn't want them to renew I need to call to cancel. I called the number back and a man picked up with a accent that was hard to understand. He told me that the renewal cost was $250 dollar and if I decided to cancel I could get a credit. I asked what the service was for and he said security for my computer and asked if I was sitting at a computer (he didn't ask for any information to confirm if I even had an account with them or info to look up an account) He asked what internet browser I use. I questioned the call and told him I never ordered services with them so how could they cancel my service and I started to get a run around. I believe this is a scam. I received calls like this about 6 months ago and never cancelled anything nor was I changed money. I believe he was going to try and get access to my computer to pull personal data or try and get me to provide him personal data over the phone. I would not fall for this. If someone was going to automatically charge your account they would send written notice.

I would receive this phone number 6058651194 on my landline at home for the past month. They are calling mostly during the day time. The caller ID does not list who is calling other than the phone number. The caller would always hang up and not leave a voice message. I do not know how this person got my unlisted phone number. Maybe it is a telemarketer, even though my unlisted phone number is on the Do Not Call list.
