Did not answer, but they left a voicemail mentioning an Amazon order (I do not have an Amazon account and have not placed an order). I was asked to press 1 to get connected to the support team to make changes to the order or press 2 to confirm the order. Foolishly, I did try to press 1, but wasn't connected to anyone. This may be a scam or an attempt to get ""live"" numbers.

I had the same experience with caller stating a purchase $ 1,349.had been made on my Amazon account with IPhone 11. I needed to call them to confirm the purchase. They have used the same scam before. Do Not Call! It's not Amazon Customer Service.
Receive call from 607-281-6311. They told me that a purchase was made for $1349 on my Amazon card with a iPhone 11, and to call to confirm. There have been no charges on my card. However, my mother who received one of these fake Amazon calls actually called them back and talked to the guy. She gave them my number to clarify. This guy with a foreign accent was pushing really hard to get more information and tried to direct me to call, I assumed, a fake hotline. I stated that I would go to the actual Amazon website and communicate with them, and he seemed to get upset. I hung on him. He called me back 3 times, and then started texted me asking ""Why did you hang up on me""? I actually had to block his number. Be careful, these scammers are in full effect!!!
Got a call from this phone number today in the morning 9/2/2020 , they left no message. It is risky to answer any unknown calls. In a lot of cases they get paid for every pick up call even though they don't get to fleece you. If it's anybody important or that you know they will leave a message on voice mail.
