Definitely a scam. I called the number back because of VM with a threatening message. First I was greeted with a simple hello from a lady then after a long pause she said “Social Security Administration” I screamed at her and told her SSA office will NEVER EVER call people on the phone!!! I proceeded to tell her to get a real job and stop scamming people....she hanged up!
Got unsolicited call form this number to cell. Call stated that I was under investigation, and failure to return the call would lead to my arrest. Called back from a work phone and was greeted to an East-Asian gentleman with the greeting ""Social Security Administration!"" I claimed I had the wrong number and promptly hung up.
Called and placed on hold by an operator and then it said no one was available to answer.
Threatened to be arrested if I did not call back. This harassment needs to end.
