Likely scam. Caller had my first and last name correct then said it was because of a bounced check at Wells Fargo in 2016. They gave an amount and then the last 4 of the social security number attached to it. When I said I don’t use Wells Fargo and that’s not my last four of my SSN they said they’ll erase it. Seems like quite the scam.
Someone called me from the number 6414545653 . After the phone quits ringing and goes to Voice Mail they hung up and didnt leave any voice message. I suggest to not answer the phone when the caller phones you. The caller may want to know what time/day you pick up the phone to know when you are home, so they would know when to call you again.
