Got a call today, 8/13/20. My phone showed it was a possible spam, therefore did not answer. Left msg saying calling form the underwriting dept regarding my credit card with Capital One. Due to my recent payment and balance may qualify for low interest rate. They needed more information to confirm eligibility. To call 1-800-913-0345. DO NOT CALL! I don't even have a Capital One credit card.
Got a call from this phone number today in the morning 8/4/2020 , they left no message. It is risky to answer any unknown calls. In a lot of cases they get paid for every pick up call even though they don't get to fleece you. If it's anybody important or that you know they will leave a message on voice mail.
