Comes up as unidentified number by my phone company shows the call coming from Russia.
The first time receiving a call from this number a lady indicated she represented a real estate investor. I informed her I am listed with the do not call registry and not to call again or I will report them. I immediately blocked the number. Checking my blocked calls I see they are still calling but with Vfw as the caller, though the same number as before. This is a definite ""Scam Number"". I am reporting them, again, to the FCC and you should too.

I have had the same experience as others. Caller ID sometimes shows VFW but also shows unknown, the phone number, or none as ID. They call every few days and will call at different times up to 5 times a day. Last week I answered and heard nothing but yelled to stop f***ing calling me. I have reported it many times to do not call. I even put in on Verizon as a number to block but still got 1 or 2 calls. I also had frequently received realty scammed from 702 area so am not surprised that is what others say it is.
When you pick up and they answer it's a real estate scam wanting to buy your home. They don't have your name and address. They call at least once a day.
At least 3 times in the past week - Shows 'VFW' as caller, but no response if answered!

Repeated calls to sell my home. I have absolutely NO DESIRE to sell now or in the future. IF and WHEN I do, I will call someone I know that I can trust, not some one that just is cold calling.
Call claims to be from the VFW. There is never anyone on the line, however, the call will leave a voice message. The message lets us know we are eligible for 50% off our Direct TV Service. Now, why would the Veterans of Foreign Wars know if we have Direct TV or Dish, or whatever! They don't, therefore, I expect it's a scam.

Someone called me from the number 7029791180 . After the phone quits ringing and goes to Voice Mail they hung up and didnt leave any voice message. I suggest to not answer the phone when the caller phones you. The caller may want to know what time/day you pick up the phone to know when you are home, so they would know when to call you again.
