Caller with what sounded like a south of the border accent called from a Georgia area code called me in Kansas saying there would be someone who is "inspecting all roofs" in my city would be coming by my house tomorrow to inspect my roof. I told him the condition of my roof was none of his business, he insisted, yes it is. So I told him that if I think my roof needs repair, I'll go looking for it, I don't want it to come looking for me, and I hung up. I miss the good old days when you could answer your phone without having to end up feeling like an idiot because you did.
