Hangup call with NO caller ID showing and which came in at 8:30 this morning! GRRRRRR. First hit in a Google search was the nomorobo.com site, which already had several reports of it being some sort of phishing expedition spammer. I tried calling back (just to see what would happen) but on my cellphone which I can then block calls from coming in. And got a weird recording saying that nobody was available but to dial 1 (IIRC) to donate (to WHAT?) and 9 to opt out. So I dialed 9 and of course then BLOCKED the call from calling back. From the area code, I was half expecting some sort of political spam anyway (this being the "flood the airwaves with TV ads for OUR a-hole candidate to vote for instead of THEIR a-hole candidate..." season). I did try unblocking it about 9:30 (mostly just to see what would happen, BTW) and got a recording from Verizon saying the number was "not in service"....
