Random call. Ignored it. A simple solution I guess. No voicemail either. Fun.
Got a voicemail from someone with a heavy Indian accent telling me my social security number had been compromised and asked me to call this number back. I did and a woman said that they were social security office - I said that SS don't ever call people and she hung up. It's a scam! First obvious sign was that there was not ten minutes of using one of these maddening ""press button x for english"" etc to actually get to a person. How many times do you call a government agency and immediately get to speak to the correct person!
Called 3 times and did not say anything on the voicemail... Weird 😩
It was a recording, identified himself as from the SSA, saying that a case had been filed against me and to call back on this same number.

I said let's start with you telling me about my SSN that is being compromised before I tell you my name. Then they hung up. Definitely fraud waiting to happen in my opinion.
Never a good sign when someone calls but leaves no message; sorry, but the only way to reach me when I don't recognize number is to leave a voice message. They called me today early morning 3/17/2020
