Received an SMS Message from (800) 237 8990 about possible fraudulent charge from MicroSoft. It listed the last 4 digits of my card, which is easily obtained. I also had an online purchase denied on the same day. Not sure if they are related, but will go to my bank in the morning to dig a bit further.
They tried to take 99.95 out of my bank account which was denied due to fraud alert. Then called 2 times this morning about 3 minutes apart which I did not answer. Caller id said United Bank. Do not answer ther calls! They are calling from outside the United States. Came through the bank as ULTCREW.
While trying to make an unsuccessful purchase from Liberty 2020 Store, my credit card was denied due to possible fraud. Immediately following that event, I received two unexpected phone calls. However, I was aware of the credit card fraud so I refused to pick up the phone. Unfortunately, I do not have caller identification, so I contacted the phone company in order to find out the telephone number for the last caller which was 1-800-237-8990. Question: Was there is a connection between the denial of my credit card information and the two calls? That remains a mystery, but it seems strange that the two events happened together in such a limited time frame.
