· We have accounts with USAA, but no debit card. I called USAA via their standard number, confirmed no questionable activity on our other accounts, and asked them to verify whether 800-272-9440 was a legitimate USAA number. Their answer: no, it is not. Be careful!
They called me from the number 8002729440 No message left. Not calling them back. Waste of my time. I do not know who this is nor do I answer calls from people I don't know. If you don't leave a message I won't call you, and more than likely if I don't know you I won't call you back.
