My dad received a call from 618-224-0089. Said they could reduce my Dish network bill by $70.00 a month. Wanted us to send $199.00 today in order to upgrade the TV, and then would receive discount going forward. I tried to call them back, and someone answered yelling ""hello"", and couldn't even tell me if he worked for Direct TV or Dish network.

They called with a heavy foreign accent (possibly Indian or Pakistani). Saying they were first from my cable company and then they said they are from Spectrum. Somehow they already had my address. They started asking questions about how much I pay each month and offered a $50/month discount for two years which equals a savings of $1200. They wanted me to turn on my cable boxes but turn the TV off while they did ""some kind of signal update and refresh"". I constantly checked my boxes and nothing was happening. They also gave me a call back number which I called from another phone and it was a disconnected number. So I hung up on them and they called right back telling me they aren't done. I told them that they are not Spectrum and I am reporting them as a scam. They did not call back. I called Spectrum and they confirmed it was a scam. Spectrum doesn't call us to offer discounts. The scammers called me from 888-636-4738. He said his name was Michael and his supervisor was Terry James (of whom I was handed off to). The call back number was (618) 224-0089. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY OR ANY ACCOUNT INFORMATION!!

Wanted to check the boxes on my TV, very heavy foreign accents told them I couldn't understand them and hung up.

Called 4/10/20 at 1:30p Central saying they're from DirecTV, want to upgrade my box. Performed an info check to get my box model and ID number, then told me to turn TV off while upgrading for 3 minutes. During that time passed me to 2 different associates saying they would lower my bill to $70 a month. Finally the last guy on line said it would only cost $199 to upgrade, at which point I yelled that I knew it was a scam, and he immediately hung up. I promptly ran a system test on my DirecTV box, no change in service of course, but this is a SCAM, be warned. They also gave me a callback number, 618-224-0089

Male with accent from India said my Direct TV would be disconnected if I hung up on him.

Called by them March 4, 2020, at 11:50 a.m. The male said they were Dishtv and asked if we had problems with reception in rainy/snowy weather, to which I replied we did. He said we could get an updated version for better reception and sound and also $30 per month off our bill for 2 years. The catch was that it would cost us $198 to upgrade, to which I said no. He said they could not access the money via our bank account, and that we would need to send a check or pay by card. I felt assured by this time that it was a scam. I asked the man, who had an east Indian accent, if I could speak with an American, as I'm hard of hearing and could not understand all he said. The request was completely ignored 3 times. When I said we would not pay that outrageous sum for an upgrade, he said that within 2 days our service would be terminated and that it would cost us $600 to reinstate it. I told him there was no sale. He then said he didn't care the ""mother fu___er"" what I did, and that's when I ended the call most abruptly! How professional!

They called me from the number 8003334745 No message left. Not calling them back. Waste of my time. I do not know who this is nor do I answer calls from people I don't know. If you don't leave a message I won't call you, and more than likely if I don't know you I won't call you back.
