SCAM. Multiple voice recordings with the same message: A recorded message stated "There is a charge of $1.498 on your Citibank account. If you did not authorize this transaction, please press 1 to dispute". This is as clear of a SCAM it can be!
You know people that have way way way too much time on their hands, should endeavor to find real work. You know, that thing that helps make us all better citizens, cleans parks, runs government, helps harvest food and bring it to the grocery store, helps us get $ from the ATM at the bank or wherever. "That". Do 'that' -- this epic bs of calling people to steal from them.. is SO LOW CLASS and FROM THE GUTTER.
Sounds official. Hit my land line AND cell phone on 2 consecutive days within minutes of each other. Only giveaway is that I do not have a Citibank card!
Fraudulent activity on your Citibank account - this is a scam to get to your banking information. Do not answer this number and give your info.
PLEASE READ!! My experience was not the same. In fact, it's more scary because this is the first time "ive been had" by a scammer. On NOVEMBER 22, 2021 I logged into my CITI account on my desktop computer, my passwords are current and saved. When I proceeded to log in, a message in font red color appeared that my password was incorrect and I was prompted to try to log in again. Then another message appeared ' ACCESS BLOCKED For security reasons, we cannot allow you to proceed. If you require assistance, call Online Customer Service at 1-800-374-9700 [TTY 1-800- 888-0002] and mention Error Code MFA." Then there was navy blue box with the word "OK" in it. I have had my mail stolen twice in the last 30 days and I have frozen my credit report and cards but one did slip through the cracks and so I thought this was another theft by card. So, I called the number and I was prompted to enter my card or SS# to verify my account. I was too lazy to pull my card out so I entered my SS#. Then the automation call proceeded to say that my SS# was entered incorrectly and to enter the CC#. This is when the RED flag was raised and I knew I was being scammed. I hung up and called the number on the back of my card and reported it to the fraud department. They refreshed my account and I had to register all over again. New password, username and security questions. I'm hoping, praying and crossing my fingers that my SS# was not compromised :( When I googled this number, this site had the most recent complaints. The only difference is that they did not call me. I called them under false pretense! Somehow they hacked my log in and spammed me to "verify" more information.
Probably a spoofed number. Synthesized female voice says: ""Vicious activity on your Citibank account. Your Citibank card has been charged of $1,498. If you did not authorize this transaction, please press one to connect wage fraud specialist for dispute, please press one for dispute."" ""Vicious?!"" Really!!!
Recorded message said I had a suspicious charge on my Citi card of $1,400 - I hung up, checked my Citi account and found no suspicious pending charges and then found this site. The unsettling part is that my caller ID said ""Citibank"".
A recorded message telling me I had a suspicious charge of $1498 on my Citicard account and to press 1 if I disputed the charge. I hung up and searched the number and it brought me to this webpage.
Offered employee number 2059 and cited a $1498 transaction as suspicious. I hung up.
Caller told me I had a $1500 charge out of Indonesia on my Citi credit card. I have a few Citi credit cards, and they couldn't tell me which one it was, couldn't tell my the account number or my name, and then they hung up.

Female with heavy Indian accent asking for bank account or social security number. She then hung up on me.
Wanted my Citibank debt card # and pin # - noting I would ever enter on an automated call.
