Initial phone number that starts a tech support scam. DO NOT CALL. Made the mistake of responding to a pop-up warning that said my computer was infected by trojans. Implied it was a Microsoft warning. I am now $800 poorer and a lot wiser. I have advised the fraud departments of every financial institution with whom I do business. I have also reported this scam to the FTC, FBI and my state's fraud investigation office. However, apparently I'm not the first to report the Geeks 365 tech support scam and they just keep on scamming.
They have the ability to lock your computer. Once they lock the computer this phone number pops up in a window. When you call the 1-888-410-3243 they state they are 'technical support' and can help unlock your computer for a charge of $400.00.
