800-541-6205 – SSN scam reports and user reviews

Call is valid. It is from Costco. The calls are made to employees during their "new hire" or "annual" benefits enrollment period as a reminder to sign up for medical, dental, vision, etc. The following is from the Costco Benefits website: "Enrolling in Costco benefits is quick and easy! Employees can enroll on the Enrollment Website with a smartphone, tablet or computer, or on the eNet computer at their work location. If you don’t have any of these devices, you can enroll by phone through the Enrollment Center at 800-541-6205. To enroll online, you must register on the Enrollment Website. You’ll need to provide: Your 8-digit Costco employee number (if less than 8 digits, add zeros to the front) Last 4 digits of your Social Security number Your mailing address ZIP code Your date of birth To enroll family members, you’ll need to provide each family member’s name, date of birth and Social Security number." If you aren't a Costco employee, then I'd ignore. If you are a Costco employee, I'd make sure I signed up for benefits before the enrollment deadline.

I would receive this phone number 8005416205 on my landline at home for the past month. They are calling mostly during the day time. The caller ID does not list who is calling other than the phone number. The caller would always hang up and not leave a voice message. I do not know how this person got my unlisted phone number. Maybe it is a telemarketer, even though my unlisted phone number is on the Do Not Call list.
