Occupied guy is spamming me
sent an email claiming that my verizon fios was scheduled to be turned off.
Caller said he was calling from Verizon Fraud team, Asked if I had placed an order with Verizon to be shipped to NJ. I replied "No". He then says he would give me a ??? number. He started with "VRZ..", then the call was dropped. I then called a relative about it, who related that she had been getting a lot of calls today from "Verizon" also. She told me not to engage with them and above all, never say "Yes" to anything.
Caller stated Verizon wanted to swap out FIOS box as it is no longer supported. This was via recorded message.
Received a call from this number. They said, ""we had to authenticate this account, you may hang up now"". I have no idea what account this pertains to or why they called, and they wouldn't explain - they just restated, ""We had to authenticate this account, you may hang up now""
said it was a security issue and I should get in front of my computer so he could take me thru it
