Got a call this morning, the person called my name and wanted to confirm my address. They called themselves ERC. Was told ERC was Enhanced Resource Center. I told them was not interested and hung up. Went online and find out it was a debt collection company. I do not have an unpaid debt that required a deb collector.
Got a call from this number, They spoke Spanish, I hung up. Then I blocked the number.
I received a call this morning from this company. The company is ERC, a debt collector. Calling to collect a debt from a person that I've never heard of before. They said that they would remove my number and not call again.
I have been receiving a call from this number every day, at different times. I will not answer, don't know. They have never left a message. I am in my late seventies, and my grandson has kept me updated on these scams. I don't answer, if it's important leave a message if not I block the number.
Trying to collect Large Amounts of Legally Charged Off Debt that was purchased by them for pennies on the dollar. These agents never had a legal contract with you. Do not disclose any information (Not even your name) when they call and ask for you on the phone. They also carry out multiple strategies such as calling the debtor’s personal phone and work phone, and have even been known to show up on the individual’s door front every now and again in a bid to get the debtor to pay what was charged off. Collection agents could also Illegally contact family, friends, and neighbors of the borrower in order to confirm private contact information when they can not reach the individual.
