Caller ID said Capital One and it was an 800 number, and the pleasant sounding female voice promised me zero interest rate for 15 months on a new Capital one card. However, when I pressed one to talk with someone, the voice on the other end had an Indian accent, so I assumed this was indeed a scam, and that they had high-jacked the Capital One name.. The number they were using was 800-903-3637.

they asked for my capital 1card number, I have none, they asked for my complete social security number, I gave them no information. I told them I was on the do not call list, and they were being reported. I asked her what nationality she was, and she said she was from the Philipines. She said she would remove me from their calling list. (yea, right)
