Called my cell today, didn't leave a message. Never been to TX so I'm leaning towards spam call because of the other comments.
Received a call from them saying it drug enforcement agency and even answered when I called back. They asked for my name and I said you called me you should already know it by my phone number. bogus call.....

Someone from this number called me stating that there was some fraudulent activity on my social security number. When I called back an ""officer"" stated that there were multiple charges against my SS# in the state of Texas. Mind you, the only time I have been there was a drive through a few years ago and we didn't even stop. I then got transferred to another ""officer"" from the ""treasury dept."" who proceeded to inform me that there were 2 ways to handle the situation and clear my name. The first option was to deposit all of my money into a ""safe account"" through them and then in a few days someone would show up with a new SS# for me and a cashiers check to give me back my money or I can go to court and fight the government to prove that I didn't do any of the things I am being charged with. He then told me that the second option, if I lose, would give me a huge fine and 9 years in jail. I told him that I am innocent and I will take my chances with the second option because I am not dumb enough to put all of my money into their ""safe account"". As soon as I said that, he said goodbye and hung up.
Called me twice in one day, when I answered each time no one was said anything. Waste of my time. They called from the 8326210033 . Today 8/18/2020 early in the morning
