When the phone rang with this number 833-596-0899, the caller id said potential spam and was from United States so I let it go to voicemail. When I checked message is wasn’t a complete message...started garbled then said something to the effect of resolve a federal issue. When I called the number back I was on hold then a woman answered from an obviously noisy call center. She said the message didn’t give you a case number and I said no, it left this one, Then she rattles off a number for me to call and when I said let me get a pen and after less than 30 secs I’m saying hello and no one answered. Whole call seemed sketchy yet puzzled me enough to google.
Don't answer! Don't listen. This is a scam. I agree with another reply - these people should go to jail, normally, but especially right now.

It was a recorded female voice.. Garbage!! BLOCK IT and report the trash..
Called leaving a voicemail sating that it was for ""attempt to avoid appearance before a magistrate or grand jury for a federal criminal offence this is the final attempt to reach you to resolve this issue immediately and to speak to a federal agent call back number 833-596-0899"" in a female robo-caller voice. Please DO NOT respond as this is clearly a scam. Block the call and delete it from your missed call history.
Scam ! Scam ! They need to go to jail.
833-596-0899 has called and left multiple messages saying in a computer-generated female official-sounding voice saying things like ""this is the last attempt to reach you"" and ""federal agent call-back number"", so seeming to sound urgently important. This same thing happened to me months ago from a different number with similar language such as ""fraud investigation"" or ""to resolve this federal investigation against you"". There would be not possible reason for this type of call. So then, as well as now, I believe this to be a scam type call, and will not answer or return the call. Blocking the call.
