This is what the message was"" ""You are a registered customer so $399.99 will be deducted from your account if you wish to cancel or stop the payment please press one or call us back at our toll free number 1-833-615-0962. Thank you."" Will not be calling. Must be a scam.
They claim they are an anti-virus company, ""Tech Helpline Cancellation Department"". They say they are going to take money from your checking account but refuse to tell you who they are and what bank they have on file for you (supposedly). They say if you don't cancel their anti-virus service, they are going to automatically bill you from your checking account. I was getting frsutrated, as he could not even speak good English and kept outshouting my talking. So I hung up, called back - hoping to get someone else at this number; but instead got the same man. He refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I finally hung up I was so furstrated, but did call my bank to make sure they did not somehow have my information, having dealt with other Identity theft previously.
I would receive this phone number 8336150962 on my landline at home for the past month. They are calling mostly during the day time. The caller ID does not list who is calling other than the phone number. The caller would always hang up and not leave a voice message. I do not know how this person got my unlisted phone number. Maybe it is a telemarketer, even though my unlisted phone number is on the Do Not Call list.
