My mother contacted HP support for her printer. She used their live chat feature off their official website. They told her a tech would call her. They called from this number and had her install a remote desktop tool, they informed her that her network was compromised and would need to pay them $300 to fix the issue. Complete scam. Thankfully she called me instead to confirm.
This number does not show up anywhere when you look it up. The name Avenue Support is an adult companion service so people can stay in their own homes. The message that was left was to "fix" my computer.
