Goodbye." Do NOT return this call. It is a SCAM. Hang up, do NOT give any information. This is a SCAM company that buys OLD DEBT then tries to coerce you into paying it. It is ILLEGITIMATE. It is debt that CANNOT BE "COLLECTED." Do NOT fall for this. Hang up-Do NOT return the call. I've had several calls from this number. They really are the laziest sloths to try to collect on UNCOLLECTIBLE debt. Do NOT fall prey to them with this SCAM.

Calls and once picked up a recording comes on and says “please say hello to verify your identity” .. this is a new number so I’m not sure who owned it before me. Extremely annoying and now blocked.
I have received calls from this number before - the recorded message asks for a person who used to own and live in the house I bought about 7 years ago. I checked this thoroughly the first or second time around. While I never spoke with a real person, it turned out to be a debt collector located in the USA (I live in Canada). Ultimately, I traced that back to a company in Toronto area that was following up on a bad debt. The person the original call referred to (and her husband) both left Canada immediately after the sale (as soon as they had the money for the house). Since that time we have received numerous letters and phone calls asking for either one or the other by name - again, I followed up and found that they moved to Texas, left no forwarding contact info, but had "skipped out" leaving almost a hundred thousand dollars in debt. I have told the above to anyone who called and was human. Since the statute of limitations is running out soon, I expect the calls and letters to finally stop soon.
