I have been receiving numerous phone calls, as early as 6:00 AM and as late as midnight, not only from this toll free number, but from other toll free numbers. I only answered the very first one, approximately a week ago, and they claimed to be a computer company attempting to refund my money for a security system ( couldn't tell me the name of this program when I asked what security program), because they were going out of business! They also couldn't or wouldn't tell me the name of their company. I hung up and blocked the number. Since that first call, I never answer an 866, 877, or 800 number, wait to see if a message has been left ( not 1 has been ), look up the number or try to call the number back ( they are either non working numbers or there are already complaints filed ). I then block the number! These scam artists are now using toll free numbers to try to get people to answer tbeir phones! BEWARE- DO NOT ANSWER A D REPORT THESE CALLS AND NUMBERS TO THE FTC- FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION .
SCAM THIS IS PROBABLY THE GEOUP ACTING WORK FOR IPHONE OR MICRY DONT LET THEM GET HOLD OF YOUR COMPUTER PHONE OR ANY ACCOUNTS
Scam fraud i black it
I’ve been receiving calls from 866-258-0199 but never picked up. This time they left a detailed Voice Mail saying that they were computer tech support company calling in regards to a $199.00 refund that their company owed to me because they were in the process of closing the company I called the number back, and a man with a Very Thick Indian accent said that he worked in partnership with the Microsoft Refund Dept and needed to connect with my computer, in order to verify that I was using their security software. After they had verified that, they would send me the $199 refund. I could Definitely Use The Money, but this whole thing Sounds Too Much like a SCAM to Risk losing control of my computer, and everything on it, for $199!!! I hung up and have blocked that number!
The number 8662580199 phoned me 2 times this morning. When I answered the phone, they hung up. I tried to call back and find out what they wanted but the number wasn't recognised. They didn't leave any phone message. Maybe it's a telemarketer
