They just called my parents home looking for someone that thry know personally. I believe that they are some type of collections agency who does not understand that they're breaking the law by harrassing people. And yes they did get rude when asked to remove my parents from call list upon their request. They claimed that they couldn't remove it until the person that they're looking for call them and update contact information, which is a lie.
I keep receiving calls from this number - since LAST YEAR - telling me they are from ""United"" and to call them back or else they will proceed with legal action. Well, they haven't proceeded with any legal action for over a year. When they call, they also ask for someone with my first name but a different last name. This is obviously a scam. I say let them proceed with legal action and I will sue their pants off for harassment. Scammers are very smart. I called them once to tell them I am not who they are looking for and to take me of their call list. They said they will. But they haven't. The message this morning was ""Call us back and make a statement."" Scammers will sometimes ask you questions that require a ""yes"" or ""no"" answer so that they can record your voice and use it later in more fraudulent and criminal activities. I blocked this number.
