I received a call from this # who wanted to upgrade my tv box. He said it was the little black box. He could not tell me what company I was with nor the type of box I had. This first call was a Parkersburg, WV #. I ended the call to have my phone ring again. This time it was a Matoaka, WV #. I asked him where he was located. He said New York and gave me the 888-617-1003 number. Suspecting it to be some phishing call I ended the call again. Call my TV provider who informed me they do not have anyone doing this for them. #SCAM, #PHISHING
Got a call from an unknown number from some wanting to update my Dish software. Already knew my account info but wanted my pin which I refused and said I wanted to verify with Dish. He then gave me a name and callback number. Called Dish an this is a scam.

I never got notification letting me know that this was going on, so it seemed off. Has anyone else gotten one of these calls?
Person named Ryan Hill said he was from Suddenlink and needed to reboot my cable box. My caller ID showed a local number 385-8517. I said I would have to check with Suddenlink to verify. I was given 1-888-617-1003 ext. 20284 to call back. The 888 area code was suspicious and I called Suddenlink from my account statement ph#. This is not one of their numbers.
Does anybody else getting calls from this number? It called me just few minutes ago 3/4/2021. I didn't answer because I didnt hear it and now I think it is not good idea to call back.
