This guy has called my husband 3 times, but today I was present and took the notes. He said he was from At&T and Direct TV, doing the Coronavirus discount. He asked us to buy 2 Ebay gift cards totaling 320.00 for 6 months free service followe by 18 months of additional premium cable, internet and TV service. We agreed and he gave us the information numbers to call and give the card info to the account information. He said he was turning on the premium service immediately, prior to payment, while we purchased the gift cards. We didn't fall for it and called AT&T and Direct TV to report the scam.
Total scam : Someone called me right after I hung up with ATT about a deal they would offer me for ATT services thanks to a partnership with eBay. They asked me to pay $340 one time fee. This would give me tv, internet 1000 mgbps, and land line for free for 4 months. After that the cost would be $105 (including taxes) for the entertainment package with no contract. This included premium channels, HBO, STARZ, SHOWTIME, CINEMAX, TVE, ANTENA3, AND HOLA for 2 years ABSOLUTE SCAM PEOPLE. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!

This is really about a similar scam for a $50K grant. Was encouraged to text an attorney who would assist me with the application. Oh, really? Not.
Supposed to be a ""Direct T.V Representative"" called stating that they are having a deal that they are giving 50% off on your bill. But in order to get that you have to pay $200 today.and you get 2 months free, Didn't make any sense to me. When I said ""no, that's not possible"" he said "" okay"" then hung up... SCAM!!
It is an Instagram scam first messaging me from a friend...my friend's name was changed using a double ""e"" in her last name that I actually didn't notice. The account had her pictures as well as the same wedding picture that she uses for her Instagram ID picture. It is a scam to try and get you to sign up for a government grant of $50,000 from International Development Association CNCS program They inform you that Attorney Patrick Morgan is the lawyer that will represent you to get you the grant. This is all the information that I was texted on Instagram to get me to follow up with them. I have now received 5 telephone calls that come up on my phone labeled ""potential scam"" and 8 texts to get me to apply for the grant. I have reported this as a scam and blocked the account. PS; it's not a student loan scam, but a government grant scam but that was the only one from the drop down menu that was close to it's description.
Called me twice in one day, when I answered each time no one was said anything. Waste of my time. They called from the 8886740582 . Today 5/16/2020 early in the morning
