The caller could barely speak English and said I had order a $410 laptop that was to be shipped to someplace in Ohio. He gave his name as Alex Smith, and refused to give any more details to the supposed order. He wanted to have remote access to my computer. I told him no. He argued with me and finally hung up on me.

Called and left message about a $400 amazon purchase they suspected was fraud. Based on the other comments on this site, I didn't return the call. I checked my Amazon account and everything appears to be good. Scam.

I got a call from 888-718-0186, and I returned a call. The person said they are Amazon. I told him I didn't order anything from Amazon these days. He asked me to give him information so he can verify. I didn't give him anything. Seems like a scam.

Automated caller saying they were Amazon. Claiming there could be a possible fraudulent order for $410 and I should call a particular number to let them know if they should process the order. I did not write down the phone number that was given. I check my amazon account and credit card account to see if there was a pending order and charge. There was not. Amazon has never called me. This is a scam.
