Woman with a poor phone connection, and a heavy accent, called from this number claiming to be from Allstate. (Sounded like she was calling from a different continent.) She wanted to give me a competitive Auto insurance quote. I didn't verify it. But she addressed me by my first name, and claimed we had spoken last year. (We hadn't). She tried to rattle off some of my other details. Like my address and whatnot. (All of which were wrong) Then immediately started asking for more personal info. At which point I hung up.
The caller claimed to be from Allstate Insurance in Long Branch, NJ and was making a cold call to provide a competitive insurance quote. The caller knew my name, address, and the type of cars that I drive. After providing that info to me he asked for my birthdate. That's when I refused, and the call ended.
Someone called me from the number 9734471417 . After the phone quits ringing and goes to Voice Mail they hung up and didnt leave any voice message. I suggest to not answer the phone when the caller phones you. The caller may want to know what time/day you pick up the phone to know when you are home, so they would know when to call you again.
