I received text message stating" Dear VENMO User. You recently attached your checking account to VENMO for a transtion of $720. Call Customer Support 18773101218 if NOT initiated by you." When calling the #, a man answered "VENMO" then informed me that i need to download an app from the Appstore and enter information to request cancellation of the transaction. Interestingly, I do not have a VENMO account, and the phone on which they texted is my work phone which i would not have provided on any VENMO or other non-business account anyway. I believe this to be a scammer.
