Before Christmas my Chase checking and savings account website was hacked. Unnoticed they tested my Chase accts by debiting a couple cents two days in a row. Seeing it was working they debited $240, then several thousand dollars. Chase refunded my stolen funds and I had to close and reopen all my accounts and change all passwords. Now the scammers are using my phone number to notify me of supposed fraud on one of my closed Chase accounts. They are also sending texts to my phone. I'm guessing that a retailer that we purchased something from is using the info we shared with them during the purchase. Be careful whom you buy from. There are a lot of Asian overseas businesses that appear to be American businesses but aren't. You'll find out after you see that your item is shipping from Shanghai and will take several weeks to arrive. Even Amazon hosts these retailers without doing any background checks so be careful! Don't return any calls or access the website they tell you to go to. The govt needs to put an end to this!

So darn sick and tired of these scammers. Get a freaking job! It's a fraudulent call stating they are from Chase and something is going on with your account! DO NOT! I repeat...DO NOT ANSWER! DO NOT CALL THEM BACK! Call the number on your bank statement or on the back of your debit card because someone may have tried to commit fraudulent activity on your account. But please DO NOT CALL THE SCAMMERS BACK! Also DO NOT trust comments that state this number is valid because they may be comments made by the scammers themselves.

This number just called me AFTER 8pm at night (it is illegal in my state for a commercial organization to call prior to 8am and after 8pm). I blocked the number, but decided to look it up. Only one website comes up in relation to Chase, and none of the numbers provided on the website match this one. Judging from people's comments here, it is a scam, which is what I figured. I am waiting to hear from Chase, but now I will simply call my local branch and ask them if they recognize this number. Thank you to the people here for verifying my suspicions.

They called and said that they was Chase Fraud division. Left this number to call back and recording sounds just like Chase Computer. They then asked for credit card number to verify account. Phishing scam. Very professional organization. They managed to gain my 84 year old mothers trust. She gave them REMOTE ACCESS TO HER PC! DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMMERS!
When an unknown number like the one 8776578783 is calling I never answer. I don't like telemarketers. If it was something important they would leave a voice message. But they didn't. I think it is another telephone ad.
