Same as the above " calling from AT&T about the business line " She said it was urgent. We don't have any active data or telephony accounts with AT&T ( well, probably home accounts that were tied to the business main number a long time ago )......I had received another such call a week ago from someone else who told me they would remove us off their list when I indicated we didn't use AT&T for anything. Interestingly enough, this time the person left a name and an extension. Still seems fishy. I wonder what the angle is. I won't be calling to find out.
I received a voice mail from this number and it seemed fishy. She said "I'm calling on behalf of your AT&T business line". Very carefully worded. She didn't say she was actually with AT&T. I will not be returning the call.
I also received a call from this number saying they were from AT&T. They wanted to switch out the copper land lines. I called AT&T customer service to confirm this call and was told that AT&T NEVER calls their customers.
Doesn't sound like ATT, when you call back, they answer on the first ring. Sounds like a third party reseller for ATT. They were wanting to pull our copper lines and switch to fiber. I do not see any good coming from dealing with these people. Probably cancel ATT and provide you with some hosted phone solution. NO WAY!!
Received a call from a women saying she was from AT&T about our lines. She had no account # or info. 877-676-2084.
Sounds like a call center. They say they're from AT&T and would like to talk to the person in charge of the landline. Well, if they were truly from AT&T I would expect them to ask for the name on the account...which they don't know.
